This pocket watch (sku.45307) is specially for Fullmetal Alchemist fans (anime/manga). It is a replica of the silver pocket watch used by the character Edward Elric and that grants him the title of State Alchemist. Just like in the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and in the Brotherhood anime, this FMA pocket watch has the following inscription inside it: "Don't forget 3. Oct. 11" (see note 1).
The other features that it has are:
- detachable alloy chain of 40 cm (with clip).
- about 4.5 cm of diameter.
- 2 cm of thick.
- powered by one AG5 battery (included).
On the back there is a "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" written and inside it, on the background of the watch, there is a Flamel symbol (differs from the original).
Price
It can be found for about $6.50 in Dealextreme. Probably an official product would cost a little more than that.
Build quality
As you probably saw on the images above, the inscription "Don't forget 3. Oct. 11" seems to lack the initial quotation mark since there is one mark just after the "11".
After receive it, you'll probably have to set up the proper hour according to your time zone. You can set up it by doing the following:
- Step 1: Pull the rotative part just a little (BE CAREFULL TO NOT DO TOO MUCH STRENGTH AND REMOVE IT).
- Step 2: Set the hour by rotating that pulled part.
- Step 3: Push it back
Another useful information is how to open it to change the battery. We made a video showing how to open the FMA pocket watch.
Usefulness
Finally, it is a great product for Fullmetal Alchemist fans, specially those who are involved in Fullmetal Alchemist cosplay. For those who aren't involved in FMA cosplay, it is a great FMA pocket watch to use in day-to-day.
We hope that this Fullmetal Alchemist Pocket Watch Review can be useful for you to decide to purchase it or not. Also, do not forget to see the video below.
